Connecting win and place markets in Horse Racing
If you place your bet in a win market based on an event or certain criteria in the corresponding place market, this article is for you.
An example of betting strategies involving both markets is Each Way Betting
If you are tired of switching between the two markets in order to keep an eye on the prices, we have great news: in MarketFeeder Pro it all can be done automatically.
While “being” inside a win market, you can check the prices of the runners in the place market, and vice versa. This can be achieved through a special prefix to trigger variables.
winplace_
This prefix is effectively saying: what comes after the prefix must be applied to the opposite market. The word “opposite” in this context means “place market” for a win market and “win market” for a place market.
Adding this prefix in front of the variable that holds the value of a market’s property it is possible to create a condition that checks whatever you need in the opposite market.
Examples could be:
winplace_places – the number of winning places in the place market
winplace_s_1_volume – the market volume percentage of the first runner in the opposite market (s_1_ is another prefix denominating the first runner in the list)
winplace_back_price – the back price of the identical runner in the opposite market.
