The Greyhound Bookie System
Description
Take a Greyhound race with 6 runners. Put runners No 1, 3 and 5 in one group, and runners 2, 4, 6 in another group. Note which group has lower aggregate odds (lower chances for winning), then Dutch-back this group.
The idea is to back on the three selections with the most attractive prices.
For example, you want to enter this market:
So you add up 100/11.0 + 100/20.0 + 100/11.5 = 22.79 and compare that to 100/5.4 + 100/2.34 + 100/6.4 = 76.88. As 22.79 is less than 76.88, you back on "1. Waxa", "3. Ill Be Good" and "5. Bransa Mason".
