Trigger
A trigger is an instruction to MarketFeeder Pro or another betting tool (although we were arguably the first to coin this term) to perform some action(s) with predefined parameters. The most common actions to perform are backing, laying and cancelling bets, but there are 50+ actions in total, covering all possible aspects of online trading, from Dutching to writing to a file or playing a sound.
Triggered betting helps you make your bets faster, more precise and more efficient.
Triggers are the backbone of MarketFeeder Pro, with lots of trigger examples available for you to learn from.
We also offer a trigger development service for those who need a quick fix and do not have the time or will to learn it all by themselves, although many master this skill successfully.

Trigger Expression
A trigger expression is a combination or number, variables, functions and arithmetic operators that together form a formula. Here are examples of trigger expressions:
- 3.1
- 5 + myvar
- back_price/(100 - back_book)
- MINV(lay_price, IF(back_unmatched > 0, bu_backp, r_ticks(back_price, 5))
-
Trigger Variable
A trigger variable is a keyword predefined in the program or defined by a user which holds a certain value. MarketFeeder Pro operates a vast list of built-in variables giving you access to all kinds of market and account data you need for betting.
-
Trade out
Either green up or distribute loss, depending on the current price of the given selection.
-
Tick
A price tick is a minimum incremental value by which you can increase or decrease the current price. Ticks are relative to the price, that is their value change as the price grows or drops. Here is a ladder of price ticks available on BetFair.

Test Mode
The Test Mode is a feature in MarketFeeder Pro that allows you to learn how to bet in a safe environment.
In this mode you are operating a virtual account with virtual funds, so you don't risk a single penny, in fact you may have a zero BetFair account and still learn how to trade (although you must be careful to not monitor an excessive number of markets. otherwise your usage of BetFair will be qualified as commercial).
This is how Test Mode controls look inside the application:

Time Machine
